I am in my final year of the University of Melbourne's Doctor of Physiotherapy Program, and an aspiring physiotherapist. I am passionate about compassionate and respectful holistic care, with a particular interest in the fields of neurological and paediatric physiotherapy. The DPT program has afforded me the opportunity to develop and hone my clinical physiotherapy skills across acute, subacute and outpatient areas and with a wide range of clinical areas. I value learning very highly, and intend to develop my clinical practice knowledge and skills continually, and to take all opportunities for growth that are available. Alongside my formal education I have been employed as a Reservations Specialist for two years, and prior to that I have eight years of experience in the hospitality industry, including managing my own team and assisting the creation of a dining venue. These roles, in particular my current position, have allowed me to develop many transferable skills that complement my clinical training. In particular, I have excellent communication, time management, organisation, and teaching skills. I believe these roles have prepared me well for a position in an allied health team.
