Since September 2021 I have worked in a ISO 17025 lab specialising in non-human food security; testing domestic and commercial animal feed. For the first year I worked as part of a team preparing, extracting and analysing samples via various methods of liquid chromatography. I primarily worked with the HPLC and amino analysers. I was trained to perform routine maintenance on the HPLC and troubleshoot common faults.I now work in the mineral department using inductively coupled plasma spectrometry, we analyse over 200 samples a day so I am used to having to work quickly and efficently. I have also undertaken invertigations into nonconforming work.

I taught science and maths lessons to students age 11-16. The job required excellent time management and adaptability due to the changing requirements of the pandemic. My time as a newly qualified teacher I have experience taking part in the moderation process. Teaching maths required me to work outside my comfort zoneand built my resilience as I worked with the maths department to improve my lessons. My time in teaching has given lots of experience working in excel tracking student progress.
