I took care of guests while providing excellent customer service, checking guests in and out, answering phones, working and running overnight audit shifts. I create lasting connections with guests, many of whom are visiting Loyola and will continue to do so for years as fans, prospective and current students, alumni, families, faculty and staff, and sports teams. I have worked with Loyola University Chicago on Credit Card Authorizations and emergency reservations for guests of the University. I sign guests up for Hilton Honors. I have been credited with the creation and management of lists of restaurant and activity recommendations in the Chicago area, and I am a leader in the development artful content, purchasing, and setup of items for guest birthdays and weddings.

As an intern, I respond to letters from inmates with compassion and professionalism, providing them with support and resources. I also help organize, print, label, and distribute editions of the Stateville Speaks Newsletter, of which there are approximately 3,500 subscribers. I am also writing an article for the next edition of the newsletter.

In this role, I lead conflict resolutions between members, advised the President and Vice President of Student Government, and interpreted the Articles of Governance. During my tenure, I sat on the Advancement Committee of the Board of Trustees and led an initiative to commission an Indigenous Artist for Indigenous Land Acknowledgment Signage on all campuses. As part of this work, I presented to the Council of Deans and Joint Council, and secured funding from each of Loyola’s Schools to fund Buffalo Gouge’s work.

As the President of Student Government, I was writing and publishing statements on behalf of the SGLC, acting as the main representative of the Student Body, and meeting regularly with several University Administrators, including the President and Provost. During my tenure, I sat on the Land Acknowledgement Statement Committee, organized and managed Senate and Administrative efforts/initiatives on Indigeneity, participated as an Undergraduate Student Representative to the LUC Board of Trustees, and ushered in several changes to the University, including the Anti-War Initiative.

As a Senator, I passed legislation on recognizing Indigenous People’s Day University-Wide, passed legislation to roll $100,000 over to FY22 in the Student Activity Fund, established a Revenue Fund that allowed alumni and community members to donate to the SGLC, and developed a flexible scholarship system to increase compensation for leadership positions. I was elected as Budget Review Committee Chair, Allocations Committee Chair, and served on the Budget Committee of University Senate
