Cookies and Dreams is a small business that specializes in cookies and catering. I started out as a regular part time employee and after six months I was promoted to a shift lead. As a shift lead, I had the responsibility to make sure that the kitchen was efficient and kept cookies stocked at all times. I was also responsible for counting drawers during the morning and night. I also had to calculate deposits and make sure money was ready to be taken to the bank. During the beginning of shifts, it was a priority to make a production list that would be used throughout the shift and determine what the priorities were for that day. This job substantially grew time-management skills because I would often have to juggle both production and helping customers. •Developed leadership skills and managing skills while being a shift lead •Ensured safe and healthy conduct in the kitchen that respected Iowa Department of Inspections code•Managed the production and distribution of products to ensure that items ever ran out •Recorded sales, processed tips, and managed money at the beginning and end of every shift

I worked at Old Navy for nine months during high school. My shifts consisted of folding clothes and making sure the store was presentable even during busy hours. It was also expected to treat customers like they were your number one priority and ensure that they had an excellent shopping experience.
