As an MSW student at Simmons University, I am currently gaining hands-on clinical experience as an Outpatient Therapist Intern at Mentor South Bay. In this role, I provide individual therapy, assist with mental health assessments, and collaborate on personalized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW). My experience includes supporting diverse populations with mental health needs, advocating for their well-being, and connecting them to valuable community resources.Alongside my internship, I work as an Assistant Preschool Teacher at Clinton Path Preschool, supporting the development of young children by fostering strong relationships with them and their families. My previous internship at Ellis Early Learning allowed me to plan and facilitate socio-emotional learning groups, working closely with preschool-aged children to enhance their emotional and behavioral growth. Additionally, my experience as Waterfront Director and Head Counselor at New London County 4-H Camp has further honed my crisis intervention and leadership skills, particularly with children and adolescents.I am pursuing an Advanced Standing MSW at Simmons University after earning my BSW through an accelerated program. As the co-founder of the Payment for Placement (P4P) chapter at Simmons, I advocate for fair compensation for social work students during their field placements. I am passionate about integrating therapeutic and advocacy skills to make a meaningful impact in the field of social work.
