Offering Bedroom quotations to potential customers by phone, Email and in face to face. Ensuring the correct information is added to the relevant location (e.g. Hot-soft,) and making sure the following steps are in place. Ensuring customers get to their rooms safely and if need help asking the duty manager to help deliver the luggage to their rooms. Working with the events team when conferences request a lot of rooms. Working with the marketing manager to make sure that our clients receive the best possible rates thus creating repeat business and customer loyalty. Supporting the duty manager during big events front of house welcoming and assisting clients on a one to one basis. Working in a variety of different roles in the business, from front of house, to being left in charge to run a function. Helping manage and run the food during service. Shift work including opening early from 6.30am and closing at 11pm or 2am. Running the lounge making sure customers request and needs are met and meeting their expectations. Ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations, stock and handling orders. Running events – pre planning with the managers and organiser to make sure everything runs smoothly and all staff are mad aware of their duties. Managing orders when it becomes busy in the kitchen serving multiple short orders. I am then required to stay calm and inform the chefs what order is next, to keep the orders flowing and the kitchen and staff stay calm. I have also worked at the Reigate Christmas fair selling hog roast, mulled wine, cider and beer. This included opening and closing the stall. Preparing everything the night before with managers to ensure that on the day everything ready. I was also trusted to help decide on prices to entice customer to our stall and make sure that profit was still made. I have also been given the opportunity to go around giving out leaflet to increase numbers in events that we are holding at the hotel.
