I am currently in my third year at the University of Newcastle, studying a Bachelor of Criminology and Bachelor of Psychological Sciences. With a strong commitment to understanding the intersections of justice and mental health, I am actively working towards a career that contributes to both fields. In addition to my studies, I have completed 140 hours of work placement at the University of Newcastle's Justice Clinic (UNJC), where I gained practical experience in the application of criminological principles. This hands-on experience has deepened my passion for justice advocacy and supporting mental health initiatives. As of 2024, I serve as the Director of Social Media for the UoN Criminology and Criminal Justice Society. This leadership role allows me to raise awareness on societal injustices and engage with my peers to promote education and advocacy within the criminology field.In 2023, I was awarded the Institute for Leadership Excellence and Development (iLEAD) certification from UON. Through the iLEAD Honours program, I’ve had the opportunity to network with industry professionals and mentors, as well as contribute to criminology programs during Newsteps and Open Day. These experiences have also led to the opportunity to become a casual academic at UON.Additionally, I am an enthusiastic volunteer with UniCrew, where I’ve accumulated over 75 hours of community service. I am deeply committed to giving back to the University community and fostering a positive, inclusive environment for my fellow students.Driven by a passion for justice and mental health, I am eager to continue developing my expertise and contribute meaningfully to these fields in my future career.
