Working at a pharmacy located within the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital (RBWH) has exposed me to a diverse range of therapeutic medications and processes. The services we provided included clozapine provision, the opioid replacement program, hospital prescription dispensing, and supplying medications to the RBWH ophthalmology outpatient clinic and mental health facilities. In this role, I liaised with various health professionals both in person and over the phone and gained extensive experience, including dispensing high-cost and specialist medications on Fred, handling a high volume of hospital prescriptions, counselling patients, making simple compounds, ordering and receiving deliveries, processing vaccination and NDSS paperwork, managing Medicare records, updating payment accounts, and working at the front of the shop.
