Pitch sessions include assisting with leading warm-ups and pitch conditioning for injured athletes at various stages. Working with academy-level players, gaining experience with young athletes and overcoming psychological issues that may appear such as lack of commitment, understanding and drive to train, resulting in my own methods of motivating and communicating with individuals of this age group being developed.

Working within Team Durham: Durham University’s sports sector that organises and facilitates all sports, with the performance sector running 17 student-performance programmes, being awarded the Sports University of the Year, with S&C falling under the additional services available to student-athletes throughout their university journey. Create and lead session sections, like warm-ups, mobility, sections of sessions and cool-downs, and receive feedback around delivery and content from this from S&C coaches, giving realistic strength and conditioning experience. Create and present an infographic around the menstrual cycle and its effect on physiological performance, informing laypersons about the cycle and potential adaptations to accommodate menstrual symptoms.

Manage student executive committee of 14 and delegate tasks, accordingly, ensuring everyone fulfils their role correctly. Also working with the college sport system to develop women’s rugby at Durham University. Troubleshooting role to ensure best level of performance, supporting new players and international contracted players.

3-month fully-funded research internship conducting a quantitative research study into the relationship between Mental Imagery and Self-Handicapping, working with Dr Melanie Gregg. Research was conducted with over 190 participants, recruited via email from various sporting teams, travelling to meet the team in person and giving a presentation around both topics. All participants completed a questionnaire (paper or online). Participants included University of Winnipeg student-athletes, Major Junior Elite Hockey athletes, semi-pro Canadian football players and professional baseball players. All data collected was analysed, with anomalies being removed, and input manually into SPSS for later analysis by Dr Gregg. The manuscript is currently in preparation and is being submitted to a Canadian journal for publication at the end of this year, as well as a new accepted submission to the European Federation of Sport Psychology 2024 Conference.
