As the product and marketing intern at Bike the UK for MS, my role is to support the organisation's fundraising efforts for the MS Society by managing various aspects of their marketing and rider communication.My key responsibility is overseeing rider communication and ensuring that all cyclists are kept up to date on important information related to their ride, including route changes, fundraising goals, and event details. I communicate with riders via email, phone, and social media to answer any questions they may have and provide them with the support they need to successfully complete their ride.I am also responsible for managing email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp. This involves developing email content, segmenting the mailing list, tracking campaign performance, and making adjustments to improve results. In addition, I write blog posts using WordPress to share stories and updates about the charity's work. These posts help to build community engagement and awareness around the Bike the UK for MS mission.Recruiting new cyclists is another aspect of my role. I use various marketing channels to attract new riders, including social media, email marketing, and word-of-mouth referrals. I work with the team to develop new initiatives to attract a wider range of cyclists and support their fundraising efforts.As the point of contact for the MS Society, I liaise with their team regularly to keep them updated on our activities and ensure that we are meeting their needs.
