During my time here I developed my knowledge and learned new treatments. I was trained on the ESPA treatments and learned about their products and different skincare ranges as well as their own brand 'HarSPA'. The spa was very busy so I had to ensure that I was careful with my treatment times and that I was working effectively. There was different spa day packages so I made sure I was always up to date and knew what treatments went with their packages. I ensured I was using my time wisely in between treatments wisely by making sure everything is fully stocked for clients such as towels, robes, slippers, herbal teas, the fruit bowls as well as paying attention to colleagues days and helping them if they had a busier day than me.

Here I started to learn different treatments and gain further qualifications such as an Ear Piercing Course with CAFLON, Crystal Clear Microdermabrasion, CND Shellac & Vinylux and Dermalogica product knowledge training. I would work on the reception as well as doing treatments so I became confident on the phone, booking people in, leaving voicemails, ensuring the desk is organised and clean and all client cards are safely locked away. The salon was faced paced so I got used to working in a busy environment. During my time here I started to build up a small client base and created positive professional relationships with them.

I worked here while I was in Oxford for a short term relocation. In the Spa they used ELEMIS and Jessica. So I had product knowledge training with ELEMIS as well as training in Pregnancy Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Body Scrubs and Facials. I also had the Jessica GELeration. My confidence grew here massively as the treatments were always back-to-back so I learned fast.Sometimes I would have to step in and help the reception staff, I had to work with other companies such as SpaSeekers and SpaBreaks making sure all the clients were booked in, as well as other departments in the hotel for example ensuring the spa days had their afternoon tea or spa lunch booked in in the right room with any dietary requirements reported, sending confirmation emails to clients and reporting any requests. Leading the opening and closing shifts, handling the cashing up and filing the relevant forms. Ensuring everything was ready, prepared and clean. Reporting to the Duty Manager that morning or evening.
