The project culminated with the production of a poster for the NanoTech15 conference which showcased our findings.I learnt many laboratory skills including:- Graphene growth via chemical vapour deposition- Raman Spectroscopy- RCA clean of Si wafers- Spin coating using PMMA- Safe working practice in the lab environment- Analysis of % graphene coverage on Si wafersDuring my time there I also learnt transferable skills such as:- Coordinating and communicating with my lab partner effectively.- Managing my time so that I could make the most of booked equipment time.- Organising myself and others well in order to make the most of my short time. -

The food festival is a major event in South Wales with around 170 stalls attracting over 30,000 people every year. I really enjoyed working with other people as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and keep the festival running smoothly. I tried to get involved and help wherever I could to assist customers and stallholders. The main tasks that the role comprised of were:- checking tickets at major gateways into the festival areas- assisting the customers with directions and other queries- helping stallholders with their questions, setting up, deliveries and packing away- managing vehicle traffic coming into and out of the site during set up and clear up to ensure customer safety- clearing up after the event
