I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and magna cum laude honors in May 2024. Currently, I am a senior enterprise marketing specialist at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital/ALSAC. Additionally, I held several roles during my time at Auburn, all contributing to my personal and professional development. As a communications and marketing intern at the Auburn University Office of Campus Safety and Security, I communicated with a diverse audience of students, alumni and parents, cultivated effective social media posts and created internal and external newsletters. This role gave me experience with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Express and Canva.Additionally, during my last semester of college, I was a communications intern at the Alabama League of Municipalities in Montgomery, Alabama. In this role, I worked in a fast-paced environment and juggled various responsibilities. I created social posts, drafted press releases and media advisories and wrote articles for the Alabama Municipal Journal.In the summer of 2023, I was a corporate communications intern at Monogram Foods. This position gave me experience working in a corporate office environment and taught me what it is like working for a company with a B2B marketing focus. I helped the communications team create a KPI dashboard to help them gauge the effectiveness of their efforts on a monthly basis and assisted in the development of the company intranet. My other roles during my time at Auburn have included working with The Auburn Plainsman, the university’s student-run newspaper, as a social media assistant. In this position, I learned how to effectively manage a variety of social media accounts using sites like Buffer, Hootsuite and Trello. Furthermore, my on-campus job as a supplemental instruction leader for the Auburn Office of Academic Support during the spring semester of my sophomore year strengthened my leadership, public speaking, time management and professional communication skills. Additionally, my coursework at Auburn has taught me how to correctly implement AP Stylebook guidelines as well as how to write news releases, feature stories and how to facilitate a press conference. I am originally from Memphis, Tennessee, and enjoy reading, baking, hanging out with my family and sewing in my free time.
