Under Dr. Christine Hackman, I have been working on a research project investigating abortion perceptions on Cal Poly's campus. Surveys have been sent to both students and health center providers to evaluate abortion opinions in light of SB24 which will require all CA state universities to be able to provide medical abortions. My team presented our findings to the campus health center. On the research team, I have assisted in creating surveys into Qualtrics, crafting interview questions, creating recruitment flyers, and served as a note-taker for research interviews. I look forward to my continued participation in this research!

I serve as the Equity Programming Assistant for the Cal Poly Fraternity and Sorority Life Office. In this role I have created a canvas page that is used by over 30 DEI chair across our campus. I review Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion plans for fraternities and sororities and provide feedback. I also have held multiple presentations educating DEI chairs on their responsibilities and provided them with information to relay back to their chapters.

As a Frost Research Award Recipient, I completed 8 weeks of undergraduate research studying Chinese immigrant enclaves in Philadelphia and the extent to which they travel outside of these identified enclaves. In this position, I conducted scientific writing, in addition to using both statistical and geographical software to analyze previously gathered data.

President of Epsilon Omega Chapter of Sigma Kappa Sorority at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. In this role, I oversaw and managed a board of 15 other executive positions, as well as our chapter logistics for 240 members. This year, my organization raised over $63,000 dollars for the Alzheimer's Association. Additionally, over the course of the year we recruited and initiated over 90 new members!

In this role, I hosted social events for up to 300 people. I was in charge of venues, music, food and transportation.

I worked with the social chair to put together events for our sorority by helping to set up venues, and organize the provided food as a member of the Food committee.

As a part of the highly selective Health Career Connections Cohort, I interned at Santa Clara Family Health Plan as a Community Outreach Coordinator. I completed outreach to over 1200 members with the goal of identifying barriers to access to preventative health care. After completing outreach, I drafted a proposal to address the commonly faced barriers by SCFHP members.- Conducted community outreach to assess member access to Preventative/Ambulatory Health Services- Informed members on the importance of Preventative Health Services and assisted members with scheduling appointments with their primary care providers- Analyzed common barriers to preventative services and proposed solutions to address over 10 commonly faced barriers

In this role, I ran the storefront on my own for the entirety of the shift. I tidied racks, helped customers to the dressing rooms, and ran the cash register. I also opened and closed the storefront in this role.

At Barre3, I provided childcare for parents while they participated in hour-long exercise classes. I ensured the safety of up to 8 children at once. This job gave me experience working with children ranging from zero to 12.

In this role, I helped create appointments for clients and filled out schedules for other employees. I completed transactions and helped ensure that clients were comfortable and attended to while they waited to be seen.

At Crossroads, I worked to stock the shelves with incoming product and helped customers to their dressing rooms. Finally, I also worked the cash register.
