As Forestry Operations Technician, I am responsible for annual field program preparation seasonal survey equipment, procedures, maps, survey data sheets and survey methods. I am also responsible for assisting with developing staff orientation training and facilitating training of seasonal staff. During the field season, I do on-site supervision of completing Silviculture, Forest Health, Dutch Elm Disease survey programs, including completion of field work with my crew, compiling and reviewing technical data, providing analysis of survey data and constructive feedback to staff. I will also be assisting with the creation of program reports that detail field activities and provide recommendations for future surveys for senior Forestry Branch Staff.

I also set up the materials for labs, keep the lab organized and keep records of calculations and solutions made in my lab notebook.
