Additionally, I was entrusted with leading two research projects. The first involved validating a modified incremental testing protocol for determining lactate thresholds in middle distance athletes, where I managed every aspect, including data collection, analysis, and reporting. The second project formed part of the national update to the training zones framework, showcasing my ability to integrate research into applied sports science initiatives.

Responsible for the design and delivery of the strength and conditioning programme for a double-mini trampoline athlete competing at the junior international level. Periodised the programme to align with university and training commitments alongside a demanding competition schedule.

Alongside my undergraduate degree I sought opportunities to gain additional practical experience. As a physiology intern I collaborated closely with coaches, athletes, and the performance support team to contribute to the physiology servicing of elite swimmers at the Bath National Training Centre. I managed the external load monitoring database and provided interpretation during multidisciplinary performance meetings. Additionally, I supported coaches on pool deck by collecting and analysing key performance metrics, including blood lactate, heart rate, and swimming-specific metrics.

I conducted a range of laboratory and field-based physiological testing protocols, alongside designing and implementing heat and hypoxic training sessions.
