As a Human Resources Intern, I supported recruitment efforts by screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and completing reference checks. I assisted with onboarding, maintained accurate employee records using HRIS, and templated resumes. Additionally, I contributed to the annual audit preparation, drafted HR policies, and developed materials to promote workplace safety and employee well-being. My work also included organizing employee files, preparing student contracts, and conducting research on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) in recruitment processes for my final Work Term paper.

I delegated tasks and supported team members during shifts, ensuring staff needs were met while maintaining food and service quality standards. I trained new employees, ensured compliance with training requirements, and resolved customer concerns efficiently. Additionally, I managed financial transactions, balanced cash tills, and oversaw day-end close-outs.
