I am a recently graduated Environmental Science major at Barnard College, where I conducted Hudson river water quality research, developed a predictive water quality application, assistant taught Python, and wrote my senior thesis on the influence of fast versus slow sinking particle composition on the development of low N:P in the euphotic zone of the Gulf of Mexico. Outside of my research for Barnard's Environmental Science Department, I have also conducted research in many other lab and field-work settings. Most notably, I worked at Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory where I preformed oceanographic field research on an oceanic expedition on the Gulf of Mexico, I studied potential oncogenes related to uveal melanoma at Rockefeller University, and I conducted research on retinal organization and regeneration in zebrafish at the University of Michigan Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology.I'm always happy to connect with Barnard and Columbia alumnae, especially those in fields that work to alleviate climate pressure, minimize ecosystem stress, and address wildlife conservation issues in addition to those who explore ecological and evolutionary interactions to illuminate the mechanisms of interaction and change that underlie the ecological functioning of our planet. I have a deep interest in environmental and scientific education, both inside and outside of the classroom, and a passion for museum education.
