• Engage in hands-on laboratory work under the guidance of Dr. Stephen J. Lye, contributing to studies in Women's Health and pregnancy complications • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and principal investigators, to conduct experiments, collect and analyze data• Employ techniques such as immunohisto-chemistry to investigate the underlying mechanisms of preterm labour in the human uterine smooth muscle (myometrium)• Actively participate in lab meetings, presenting research findings, and engaging in thoughtful discussions to contribute to the collective scientific knowledge• Conduct literature reviews on latest advancements in the field, ensuring a solid theoretical foundation for experimental design and data interpretation• Collaborate with other research students to complete team-based projects, fostering a cooperative and supportive research environment• Present research findings at scientific conferences, showcasing contributions to the scientific community and receiving valuable feedback from experts in the field
