Ella Williams is the Intergovermental Policy Advisor for the City of Bellevue's Utilities Department. She works with elected officials, department and agency staff, and stakeholders on issues of clean water and conservation, among other issues. Prior to joining Bellevue, she worked at King County - as Policy Advisor for King County Councilmember Joe McDermott and at King County Metro, where she worked on route planning, restructures, equity analysis, and policy analysis. She graduated from the University of Washington's Evans School of Public Policy & Governance in June 2019. During school, she had also worked as a part-time policy analyst with the Sound Cities Association. She previously worked as a legislative assistant for the Chair of the Senate Committee on Transportation in the Washington State Legislature. Ella hopes to continue her work in government with a specific focus on crafting policies that ensure equity, opportunity, and access. Ella received Bachelors' of Arts in Germanics (German language & literature) and European Studies as part of UW's Jackson School of International Studies. She has studied at the Goethe Institut in Munich and interned at the World Affairs Council of Washington, D.C. during the fall of 2011 and the Sound Cities Association during the summer of 2012.
