Project 1 (Sept 2022-May 2023): Testing an ethical decision-making tool in graduate education with PI Dr. Melissa Hunt. Designed Qualtrics survey and collected 101 responses from graduate trainees countrywide. Conducted literature search, project design, data management and analysis, and final paper, poster & presentation.Project 2 / honors senior thesis (Sept 2023-May 2024): Evaluating what and how process variables in GI-informed CBT therapy sessions make an impact on IBD patients’ well-being to predict treatment outcomes under the supervision of PI Dr. Melissa Hunt. Watch 80 hours of therapy videotapes, and take a leadership role in developing the coding system for treatment fidelity. Manage and analyze data, present final thesis, poster & presentation.

Investigated community exercises’ effects on older adults’ cognitive health under the supervision of PI Dr. Jianghong Liu.Managed a team of 13, recruited 100 healthy Chinese older adults and another 15 older adults (diverse ethnicities) with physical disabilities, and oversaw the 12-week intervention (in-person and online).

As an ASAM Fellow, investigated Qigong’s effects on physical and psychosocial health outcomes under the supervision of PI Dr. Jianghong Liu.Recruited 80+ older adults from a senior daycare center in Chinatown, led the Qigong exercise program 5 days/week for 10 weeks, and administered pre- and post-intervention self-report questionnaires and computerized cognitive tests.Co-organized symposium with 100+ audiences, and co-led panel talk featuring Dr. Sumie Okazaki and Dr. Laura S. Sullivan.

Prepare IRB submissions.Develop multiple NIH and school-level grants and manuscripts, as well as coordinate with collaborators.Facilitate course design and logistics for 3 courses.

Involved in the School Adolescent Mood Project in ADePT Lab under the supervision of PI Dr. Jami Young.Recruited 25+ families in school events; conducted 200+ scheduling calls; facilitated group teletherapies as tech coordinator.Transcribed and checked interviews with school counselors, administrators, and teens on their feedback (12+ hours).
