I am currently a second-year BSc (Hons) Medical Science student at Oxford Brookes University. I have completed some work experience placements in NHS hospitals, specifically in MSK Physiotherapy and Diagnostic Radiography. I was due to go on a Gastroenterology placement in 2020, but unfortunately, the pandemic prohibited this. I endeavour to seek out more clinical posts in Oxford over the duration of my degree to enrich my knowledge of the industry further and understand how I can use my scientific skills in my future career. I may also seek out summer internships or study abroad placements throughout my degree to fully prepare me to enter and work in scientific and clinical settings. I aim to receive my IMBS (Institute of Biomedical Sciences) accreditation via ‘top-up’ after my degree, especially if I embark on a career in a Biomedical laboratory. I will additionally strive to earn further/more advanced qualifications after my undergraduate degree, likely specialising in a clinical field.Other previous work experience includes working as a gymnastics coach for young children. Here, I gained important communication and teamwork skills. These skills can be transferred to my future career. Additionally, one summer, I worked with a company that deals with Camelot who run the National Lottery (Lotto) in this country. I was employed as a Mystery Shopper; auditing and scrutinising lottery ticket retailers on their ID checks and the importance of upholding the laws surrounding of sale of lottery tickets. At the time, the National Lottery minimum age was 16 - however because of the research that I and other people across the country were a part of, it has now been risen to 18. In my own time, I have a decade-long history of running my own blog and social media content creation. Thus, I have gained essential skills such as marketing, writing, graphic design, computer literacy, planning, online communication, analytical thinking, social media, photography, project management, and other technical skills. All of these can be transferred to my future career. At university, I was previously a member of one of the university's competitive cheerleading teams. This experience has taught me important lessons in dedication and team working, as well as having fun and keeping up my physical fitness.

[Floating] Gymnastics Coach - 1St Level Qualified (Level Zero)Infinity Gymnastics Cic Feb 2019 - Mar 2020Southwater, England, United KingdomIn this role, I oversaw the room where gymnastics classes were being run (up to four classes at one time). Additionally, I managed safety in the building - ensuring that no one who could potentially be a danger to children and other staff could enter the building. I also aided other coaches in their classes as required and helped put out the appropriate equipment needed. Outside of my primary coaching role, I volunteered occasionally to give additional help in classes that were running whilst I was not on shift. I also attended training and planning meetings regularly with other staff and volunteers. I played an active role in my volunteer position at the club and received recognition for my contributions to the club in the 2019 Annual Competition and Prize-giving. I left this role in 2020 due to the global Coronavirus pandemic.
