As a recent graduate of UNC Chapel Hill with degrees in computer science and environmental science, I am passionate about finding innovative solutions for sustainability and technology challenges. I have gained valuable skills and experience in scientific research, environmental advocacy, and computer science through my education and work history.I have lead a wide range of environmental advocacy initiatives, such as running a weekly climate strike at UNC CH and starting a youth climate advocacy group in Warren County. As for my job experience, I was a teaching assistant at UNC's makerspace, where I mentored 60 students in designing and building projects using CAD software and 3D printers. I also instructed them to program Arduinos with Python. Additionally, I was a hurricane recovery research assistant at the Carolina Population Center, where I conducted surveys on Hurricane Dorian survivors and maintained data for over 100 participants.
