I am working as a data analyst in South Wales Fire and Rescue Service. I have a specific interest in research, data and analysis and I aspire to have a career where this is something I can focus on. EDUCATIONI achieved a first in my undergrad dissertation project where I looked at image processing in 2yr old children. The aspect of this degree that I found most rewarding was the research we carried out as well as the methods and analysis modules. As a result I decided to do a research masters in psychology, in which I achieved a distinction. I enjoyed the focus on statistical analysis methods and the challenge that this masters provided. My postgrad dissertation looked at the links between neurodivergent traits and complex chronic conditions. KEY SKILLSDuring my studies I learnt many computer and software skills which I have continued to develop during my role as a data analyst (including SQL, SPSS, RStudio, QGIS, MATLAB, and NVivo). In addition to this, I am a proficient and competent verbal and written communicator. Specifically, I am confidently able to communicate scientific information in various forms and to various audiences.
