As Treasurer for Hofstra University's PRSSA Chapter, I am responsible for creating a semesterly budget for meetings and events, handing dues from PRSSA members, and assisting with fundraising for our chapter.

I am the treasurer for the Hofstra International Business Association (HIBA). HIBA's purpose is to educate students on global business practices and different cultures. We aim to help students become equipped to start their careers in the global economy. As treasurer, I create budgets for each semester based on planned meetings and events and work with Hofstra's Student Government Association and Office of Student Leadership to gain allocated funds. I also assist in planning networking events and attending promotional events.

These roles have provided me with many skills such as familiarity with a POS system, financial responsibility, customer service experience, and time management. In this position, I was given the responsibility of managing thousands of dollars for the business, as well as 10-20 front-end associates.

I worked at Hofstra's Center for Academic Excellence as a Spanish tutor. During my time there, I assisted students in beginner and intermediate Spanish language classes, focusing on grammar. I also worked as a receptionist at Hofstra's Center for Academic Excellence, connecting students with tutors and ensuring the department ran smoothly and efficiently.
