I am currently working under the guidance of Dr. Josh Newell, Jake Hawes, and in collaboration with The University of Michigan Center for Sustainable Systems to compile a map of urban gardens in metro Detroit and New York City and examine their functions and implications in said communities.

I am currently working in collaboration with professor Bilal Butt to analyze data sets in order to determine nomadic herding populations’ overall effect on land degradation and species diversity in the Maasai Mara region of Kenya.

In this role, I conducted a breeding bird survey and an invasive plant inventory of the preserve, created GIS maps in Arc GIS FIeld Maps to communicate the findings to the public effectively, drafted appropriate protocols for the surveys with an aim of making them repeatable for future citizen science-led approach, created a final report that was published.
