I am an interior design student passionate about authenticity and creating designs that demonstrate a personal narrative. Through my blog I dedicate time to understanding emerging trends in interior design and fashion design, analysing the link between them and their relationship to individual expression. As an Interior Design student at the Queensland College of Art and Design, Griffith University, I develop projects with a keen understanding of social impact and context. Through research and iteration, I am able to design inclusive, sustainable spaces that tell unique stories. Early 2024 I began a blog, Empty Space Designs, as a way to gain additional insight into interior design principles and trends to be applied to university work. This developed into content analysing the history of interior design trends and the influence the fashion industry has had on interior design. Both sectors of design can be tailored to an individual to reinforce a personal brand, and Empty Space Designs discusses this relationship. With digital skills in Revit, Enscape, Sketchup and the Adobe Suite, I’m able to develop designs that are professional and high quality with creative innovation. I’m looking to begin my professional career in the commercial space due to the complex learning opportunity provided and use that knowledge to move into the residential space.
