I coordinated a portfolio of work from FDA for routine analytic queries. In this role, I managed communication across various teams and stakeholders, and I provided status updates to team leads and FDA. I also worked on the routine analytic queries by generating code lists for exposures and outcomes, as well as preparing final reports for public audiences on our website. This included translating scientific writing into text for a lay audience to understand, as well as working on the back end of our website to post and update content.I also managed updates to our routine querying tool documentation, bringing together the subject matter experts and end-users to ensure the documentation is accurate and usable. Through this, I spent a lot of time working in Bitbucket, an open source program for development and sharing of code. I ensured our team was posting to it regularly, and I maintained repositories for sharing of our codes and documentation with the public.

I provided project management and analytic support to our query operations by managing timelines, assembling code lists of diagnosis, procedure, and drug codes, developing trend analyses mapping between eras of the International Classification of Diseases, Ninth and Tenth Revisions, and analyzing/inputting data into reports. I also worked on our Public Git which aims to make SAS programs and accompanying documentation accessible to the public. I code our documentation in markdown and coordinate the updating process as the programs are updated. Additionally, I contributed to the scientific communications team to ensure all our public-facing content is accessible to readers by writing detailed report overviews and managing website content.

Through this internship, I held various roles and responsibilities. I developed a webinar for Emergency Support Function 8 partners in the Metro-Boston Homeland Security Region to equip them with the knowledge and skills to interact with the Boston Medical Intelligence Center (MIC) during an emergency activation.I served as the Volunteer Lead for the Injured Runner Tracking Team for the 2016 Boston Marathon. In this role, I organized volunteers from the Boston Medical Reserve Corps and BPHC staff in preparation for the marathon, as well as the day of the event. I trained staff to use the EMTrack mobile app and created various documents and processes to make the planning for injured runner tracking more organized. At the DelValle Institute, my responsibilities included volunteer coordination for Boston's Medical Reserve Corps, online database management including Moodle, RegOnline, MA Responds, MailChimp, and Google Analytics, and writing monthly newsletters. I also assisted with course preparation and close out. I have created a user guide for technology that we use in classrooms and send out weekly course registration reports. I also provided quality assurance testing for online courses in the DelValle Institute online learning center.

As a Graduate Resident Assistant, I was in a senior staff leadership position for Boston University Residence life which includes training and managing resident assistants to foster community and personal growth. As a senior staff member, I served in a 24 hour on call rotation to provide support to resident assistants during emergencies.

I engaged and connected students in residential communities to foster students' growth as leaders, equipping them with skills to interact in a local and global context. I performed administrative duties, as well as coordinating monthly activities. Additionally, I served as a liaison between my residents and and BU Residence Life.

I co-led BU's chapter of Peer Health Exchange. I was responsible for recruiting volunteers to join our 100+ person chapter. After recruitment and selection through an extensive interview process, I then trained them to become health educators to equip teens with knowledge and skills they need to make healthy choices. I also assisted in scheduling and signing volunteers up for workshops, as well as taught health skills workshops.
