I am committed and passionate about fostering safety and justice within the UC Berkeley community. As the Chair of the ASUC Sexual Violence Commission (SVC), I lead initiatives aimed at empowering the Cal community and influencing campus policies through education on preventative measures and available SVSH resources. As a team, the SVC drives meaningful change within our community, setting a precedent for similar initiatives at other campuses around the world.Currently, I am a sophomore at UC Berkeley, pursuing a B.A. in Global Studies with a concentration in peace and conflict in the process of applying to Political Economy with a concentration in health economics. While my studies mainly focus on international relations and economics, I am interested in analyzing colonialism’s affect on Indigenous communities and how those effects translate into injustices today; I strongly believe if used properly, this research can help to mitigate conflict and provide impactful solutions. In addition to my advocacy work, I have actively participated in research with NGOs, where I have applied my knowledge to real-world challenges. These experiences have not only deepened my understanding of human rights issues but also strengthened my commitment to creating a more just and equitable world.
