I worked as a project manager at ABB Marine & Ports in Automation and Control Solutions department. I was responsible for ABB propulsion remote control system and Intelligent shipping (including ABB Pilot Control and Braking assistance products) delivery projects for new build vessels. My tasks included: - Collaborating with the R&D, engineering and sales departments, as well as with suppliers and customers to ensure the optimal solutions for each project- Managing customer communication for shipyards in Europe and Asia- Resolving commercial and technical issues- Project related sales activities, including contract negotiations - Financial and cost management- Project execution planning, tracking and reportingThis position required both technical and business understanding, and an ability to adapt quickly to changes and being able to control multiple large projects simultaneously.

I worked as a project engineer in Digital Solutions department.

The thesis research aimed to develop a new process and systems for supplier performance measurement by the means of automatization. The project was executed to Supplier Quality Management team for KONE Industrial. During the research, two systems were developed to create functional, more automatic performance measurement system. Also, a new process was defined for end-users in alignment with the possibilities these systems created.I learned a lot about system development in general, SAP and Qlikview functionalities and project management in global environment. When finished, the thesis received an excellent grading at the University.

I controlled suppliers performance with new product implementations or product or process changes to ensure high quality focusing mainly on elevator hoisting machinery category. This involved close co-operation with suppliers, product development team and production. I was also involved with different supplier development projects, e.g. planning audits and creating training materials. During this position, I learned a lot about supply chains, logistics, manufacturing processes and quality tools, e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, quality audits and mistake proofing. In addition, my work consists of versatile projects in Supplier Quality Management team, involving areas such as system digitalization and process development.

My work consisted mainly of sourcing spare part components, their suppliers and prices. I got familiar with different mechanical and electrical parts and assemblies. I also did purchasing of purchase-to-order parts, updated new items to SAP-system and searched for new suppliers. In my work I used multiple programs and ERP-softwares to search for knowledge. This position required capability of independent working, decision making and team work skills.
