About Ella Shepherd

I am clerking for President French and Justice Hinton at the Court of Appeal, having finished my BA/LLB(Hons) degrees at the University of Auckland and University of Toronto. I am enrolled as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of Aotearoa New Zealand. I am interested in litigation, regulatory enforcement and technology. My dissertation was on defamation law in a post-#MeToo world. In my spare time I am involved in the abortion rights movement and am a keen open water swimmer.
