Venture For America is a fellowship for recent grads who want to learn how to build a business while making an impact. VFA Fellows get training and join a startup in an emerging US city, where they live and work for two years at one of our hundreds of partner companies. Gulu, Uganda

• Created social media platforms such as an Instagram, a video for the staff and a website for the Gulu office of WGEF. • Collected loan payments and helped women assess their finances/future business plans.• Day-to-day operations such as teaching and attending workshops at different sites such as the barracks, prisons and several villages in Gulu, Uganda. • Taught 8th grade algebra to 25 middle school students.• Was one of four homeroom teachers from 8 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday (50 hours/week). • Organized and executed study sessions, life-skills workshops and productive activities. • Held one on one sessions with children to give them caring, accepting and encouraging ear.
