About Ella Wind, Phd
I direct our team at the Public Wise Research & Education Fund, where we conduct rigorous and mission-driven qualitative and quantitative research on voting rights, political accountability, and strengthening democracy in the U.S. Our scope of topics is broad, including but not limited to non-voters, threats to election integrity, law enforcement accountability, and the U.S. public's views on democracy and current political issues. We use a variety of methods, including polling, focus groups, qual boards, historical analysis, and the creation of original datasets. Our research is created for both public consumption and to serve the specific knowledge needs of our field partners as part of our unique Funds+ granting model. I am a PhD-level social scientist with experience conducting social science research in academic, non-for-profit, and legal settings using quantitative and qualitative methodologies. My research projects have focused on democracy, labor, the welfare state, and gender in a variety of international contexts, but particularly in the United States and Arab countries.
