I am a student at the University of Liverpool and I am in my final year studying Chemistry Bsc.I am currently looking to start a Masters degree in Chemistry starting September 2018. Alongside my studies I have a part time job at Wirral Play Council Special Needs working as a Playworker. I have worked there for 5 years now and it has helped me to develop many skills such as; time management, communication and teamwork. I have also volunteered at my university helping in a Peer Assisted Learning Scheme in which older students mentor students in the years below. The experience was highly enjoyable as I was able to meet a range of new people and I became better at adapting to different groups of people and how to change my method of mentoring to suit a variety of groups. During my years studying Chemistry I have developed many skills from laboratory practice to data analysis. However the skill I feel is particularly important is my ability at problem solving, this is because I have had to use it in every aspect of my university career. Whether it be answering questions for an inorganic tutorial or arranging my personal timetable so I am able to do all my daily tasks, my ability to problem solve has been greatly enhanced over my time at University.
