Little did I know that a job driving trucks would kick off my career in the tech world. I joined Carvana in the summer of 2015 in Atlanta, where they launched their first operations. From driving trucks to delivering cars to customers to developing new training procedures, I was exposed to just about every part of the business. It was there I realized I loved being empowered to collaborate cross-functionally and execute on ideas to make the business better. In my time there, I was empowered to build out - in conjunction with leadership and operations - the foundation of all incoming operation employees across the U.S. for the company.After leaving Carvana, I had a hard time finding somewhere where my voice was heard and I was being challenged every day. I continued pursuing training roles and loved building out processes and new ideas, but once built out, felt stuck because I didn't feel like I was learning and growing any longer. After working in sales training, I realized that I was meant to be on the other side - in the day-to-day of sales. And that's when I joined Motive, formerly KeepTruckin.I joined Motive for several reasons, but ultimately because the company builds technology to improve the safety, productivity and profitability of businesses that power the physical economy. (I even used the free app when I was at Carvana and loved the product as an end-user!)
