Elle Gilbertson is an HCPC registered Art Psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with a Master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy (MSc) from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. She is also an educator, and is a GTCS registered Secondary Teacher of Art and Design. She holds a diploma in online therapy, and is excited by the opportunities for mental wellbeing digital Art Therapy presents. Her clinical experience includes working with adults and children with chronic illness in the NHS. In her role as freelance Art Therapist she works with children in groups and individually in the education sector and delivers workplace wellbeing interventions. Elle is passionate about empowering individuals to make therapeutic progress through talking as well as with art making within a safe and collaborative therapeutic relationship. She has additional training in trauma informed embodied practices, and integrates these techniques to make her style of therapy well suited to those seeking relief from anxiety, trauma or stress. Elle also has experience supporting clients with grief and loss, self-esteem issues, self-harm and to develop their resilience. She has her own private online Art Therapy practice where she see's adults and children, in addition to her freelance work for charity organisations.
