Responsibilities include researching new funding opportunities, writing grants and progress reports, providing stewardship to donors, maintaining agency database and running reports, preparing financials, and assisting with special events. Student/Partner Alliance is a nonprofit organization that annually provides scholarships and mentoring to approximately 175 disadvantaged high students who reside in the Greater Newark, Jersey City, and Elizabeth areas. Our support enables these students to attend one of thirteen select private college-preparatory high schools in their communities. Our organization is constantly recruiting for individuals to provide a student scholarship ($2,000 annually) and/or serve as a Mentor to a student. Planned, supervised and implemented all fund raising activities including researching and developing grants; cultivated individual, corporate and foundation support; conducted annual and major gift campaigns; and coordinated and executed all special events.
