As the Research Program Lead at Adelaide Health Simulation, I investigate simulation as a technique for training health professions students and professionals; simulation as a vehicle for improving practice and; the foundations for simulation that can be tested and improved to optimise simulation activities.At the core of all of the roles that I have held, is a strong conviction that we have a responsibility to provide the best care possible to patients. Whether that is through direct patient care, providing education relating to evidence-based practice or using research to focus on building and integrating evidence into practice, my focus has always been the optimisation of care, and building the capacity of people who are providing that care.
