The work as a Law Clerk (junior judge) at the Stockholm City Court, the district court with the most large scaled civil cases in Sweden, entails assisting permanent judges with preparation of cases, keeping records and writing judgments and decisions, etc.. As a Law Clerk I was also permitted to make decisions on various matters and adjudicate in certain simple civil and criminal cases, such as cases involving fines. The Stockholm City Court is a very attractive employer among potential Law Clerks, something which makes competition over Law Clerk appointments very tough. Only candidates with outstanding academic results are accepted. As the president of the Law Clerk Association at the Stockholm City Court, with 65 of the most merited young jurists in Sweden as members, I made the most out of the social opportunities provided through work; an attitude I bring to all new social contexts I am a part of.
