(She/Her) After graduating with an upper second class division honours degree (2:1) in Psychology from the University of Aberdeen, I decided to take on extra roles within the NHS along with my already established voluntary roles in my local community.The experiences I have had over the past 3 years, from being able to study a wide and varied field such as Psychology to gaining hands-on clinical experience in my HCSW roles, to acting as a mentor to young and vulnerable children in my local community through a well established charity, have allowed to me to expand and absorb a wealth of knowledge, skills and life lessons that I will continue to use in both my personal and professional life for a long time to come.My time at the University of Aberdeen was filled with enthusiasm, curiosity and dedication. From being elected class representative in my second year, to being elected President of the Psychology Society in my final year - my enthusiasm and dedication to my education and the education of others only grew year after year.Since October 2020, I have had the honour of being a mentor for a local young people's charity, aimed at providing vulnerable young people with stability, routine, inspiration and encouragement where they may be lacking. Since February 2021 I had originally been working part time as a Health Care Support Worker at the Aberdeen mass vaccination site at TECA. Upon graduating in the Summer of 2021, I was able to gain further and more diverse clinical experience as a member of the nurse bank as a HCSW. These experiences and opportunities have allowed me to flourish and grow as a person, and I feel make me a standout applicant for future employment.
