The Mayor, theChief of Police, and the City Council of Milledgeville resigned as a part of the resolution of thiscase.It also resulted in the state-wide implementation by Charles Sever, Head of Security of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation of a training course designed to add rigorous awareness as to what is required to make an appropriate identification. Watkins v Baldwin Northside Hospital et alMark Baldwin shot and killed DeKalb Fire Chief, Gober. Case included numerous issues ofinsanity and monetary liability. My representation of Mark Baldwin's parents resulted in thecase against them being dropped, even though they were the only possible source ofcompensation in the case. There were nine attorneys as opposing counsel.Hosch v State–Supreme Court of GeorgiaLeading case on burden shifting jury instructions in a murder case, reversed the decision ofthe state. From this case forward if a defendant were to raise a defense in a criminal case, itwas reversible error to give the jury instructions, which placed the burden on the defendant toprove his innocence on that issue.
