Designing across jersey, woven and knit reporting into the creative director.

Working freelance across several industry projects to design, develop and some areas of product development. Focus on knitwear, but also working on jersey and woven projects within womenswear design.

Production of the labour intensive ‘Kore Top’ from Season I for a consignment store order. -Updating and grading the knitwear pattern for different sizes -Completing several idential garments with multiple knitted pannels each seamed with hand embroidery

Working within the menswear team I designed artworks, developed fabrics and assisted with administrative tasks to help create the spring summer 2020 collection, including both knitwear and woven pieces. I also assisted with production administration towards the end of the autumn winter -Researching and developing a range of fabrics in knitwear and wovens for SS20. -Digital tasks; designing artworks, tech packs and CADs using Adobe programmes. -Admin tasks; creating and updating line sheets, collection boards, organising fabrics and yarns.

Assisting with the design, creation and installation of the Pringle of Scotland menswear stand at the Pitti U’omo exhibition in Florence, January 2019. I created a range of knitted wall panels and worked with the design and visual merchandising teams for the installation. The pieces created were then used the flagship store for visual merchandising. -Hand knitting pieces on a very large scale to an exacting specification. -Communicating between multiple teams. -Adhering to specific and strict deadlines with a high level of organisation.

Designing knitwear pieces in collaboration for her second collection. -Designing and knitting multiple womenswear pieces working with the collection aesthetic. -Yarn sourcing, developing swatches and drafting patterns from jersey toiles. -Collaborating and communicating with the design team, including jewellery design.

Tasked with production of a range of chunky domestic knitted accessories for the AW18 Collection, great experience in producing high volumes to a professional specification. -Tracing patterns from prototypes and translating them into knit patterns. -Reproducing indentical garments in volume, requiring high technical skill. -Time management, adapting to production timelines and communication within the design team.

Assisting across the development and presentation of Season I, I was given the opportunity to greatly expand my skill set across all elements of design; invaluable in the lead up to my Masters Degree. -Pattern tracing, making and cutting for woven and knitwear. -Toiling prototypes across wovens and knitwear. -Developing sample knitted fabrics and techniques into final Season I garments

Assisting both the mens and womens design teams across woven and knitwear, responsibilities within organisation, research and design. Leading to freelance designing of fabric swatches and finishes for woven and knitwear, with two pieces featured in the RTW SS16 collection. -Design tasks such as draping, toiling and in house sampling. -Organising and updating collection boards, following changes to fabrics, yarns and colours. -Fitting, completing notes and translating changes into technical packs. -Factory visits directly communicating changes to prototype knitwear garments. -Sourcing and organising research and archives for RTW AW16 across womens and menswear. -Freelance sampling; designing fabrics based on research trends for RTW SS16 including knit and weave. -Developing successful freelance swatch designs to create final prototype garments for RTW SS16 collection.
