Direct the Participation and Learning department at Historic England, including the Archive, Creative Programmes, Communities and Inclusion and Heritage Schools teams.

I oversee participative creative programmes and campaigns that help people to create unique memories in the historic environment and inspire them to care for their history and heritage. I'm particularly interested in the effects of culture in unexpected places, like our high streets, and how this encourages people to see their surroundings, and themselves.

I work on major campaigns that raise awareness of and participation in heritage.

From a skatepark in East London given protected listed status to the list of the most at risk historic places in England, I generate news stories for English Heritage. I work with people throughout the organisation - archaeologists, historians, statisticians and architects - to uncover news stories and raise the profile of the work we do.

Communications Manager for three regions in the UK, North East, Yorkshire and The Humber and the East Midlands. I liaise with regional directors to manage issues throughout the regions and manage proactive campaigns and reactive issues. I work on national media campaigns to promote English Heritage's initiatives and launches and look after national press.
