Manage, research, organize and supervise the generation and submission of multi-million dollar institutional grant proposals for UA South institutional and faculty programs. Position entails extensive demographic, educational research into Hispanic and under-served populations, including student data and relevant economic issues. I work with academic affairs and student services to develop and maintain positive funding source relationships,engage in program/project design and guide planning and implementation of funded proposals

Coordinated successful development of grant proposals to federal, state, foundation and corporate funding sources; wrote brochures, case statements and other media as requested. Participated in special events.

Led organization through restructuring and downsizing, resulting in sustainability and growth of organization. I served as liaison with County, State and Federal funding sources (including HUD and Arizona Department of Public Services), ensuring grant compliance and effective communication between funders and agency; and conducted advocacy and outreach with local and statewide political leaders, statewide housing agencies, media sources and grassroots organizations. Conducted programmatic and environmental research and forged collaborations to develop new lines of business and identify potential new income streams

Wrote grant proposals for agency and program funding, resulting in raising more than a half million dollars in first nine months, developed new website and logo, updated collateral and designed bilingual materials targeted to specific audiences; and developed and implemented new programs and efficiencies such as implementing computer network for three locations, designing accounting policies and procedures and improving board relations and development

Developed a sound, realistic grant strategy for agency that served children and families in need.Compiled, wrote and edited all grant applications (including budgets), exhibiting strong expository writing skills, high-level ability to develop new approaches to program development. Led multi-agency collaborative Federal Grant application efforts.
