• Dual role as the Executive Director of Advocacy Mobilization and Engagement at CARE USA & the Executive Director of CARE Action, CARE's 501c(4) arm. • Served as a member of CARE's Senior Leadership Team and the US Program & Policy Senior Management Team to set organizational strategy, manage change, and drive impact. • Set CARE's overall mobilization and engagement strategy to build political will in the U.S. to achieve policy change that takes CARE's evidence-based solutions to scale. • Oversaw CARE Action, including election engagement, fundraising, compliance, and board cultivation and management. • Led a high-performing, cross-department team of 11 to deliver advocacy wins, including securing USG commitments of over $16B to fund the U.S.’s global COVID-19 response. • Cultivated and steward major and institutional donors to secure new and continued funding.

• Designed and implemented a strategic vision to build and mobilize constituent voices through digital and volunteer engagement, advancing CARE USA's policy agenda and CARE Action's election engagement goals. • Led the vision, strategy, and planning of the CARE National Conference in partnership with the Sr. Director of Events. This included pivoting to our first ever virtual summit in 2020, which garnered over 400k views and was selected as a finalist for Shorty Award in the Facebook Live category.• Co-led the launch of CARE's supporter engagement strategic initiative, in partnership with the Chief Individual Fundraising Officer and the Executive Director of Supporter Engagement, resulting in a 165% increase in supporters engaged in CARE’s advocacy.

• Managed the Chefs’ Table program, which engaged celebrity chefs in CARE's successful campaign to pass the Global Food Security Act. • Launched the CARE Action Network fellowship program, a 12-month leadership development program for strategic volunteer leaders to hone their advocacy and knowledge through virtual learning and international travel. • Recruited, hosted, and engaged members of Congress and other influencers to travel on a CARE Learning Tour. Traveled with members of Congress, the Administration, and the media on 5 separate trips to 6 countries. • Collaborated with government relations and program colleagues to plan and implement policy and advocacy campaigns, including initiatives addressing women’s economic empowerment, gender-based violence, and sexual and reproductive health and rights.

• Developed and implemented state and district level advocacy strategies targeting 20 members of Congress through direct lobbying, grassroots media, volunteer leadership development, external partners, grasstops engagement, and public events. Cultivated CARE Action Network Chairs for each targeted state and district. • Partnered with fundraising and marketing colleagues to engage CARE donors, board members, and high-profile supporters in advocacy initiatives to advance policy goals, increase charitable giving, and strengthen CARE’s brand.

• Recruited, cultivated, and managed volunteer advocate leaders throughout the Midwest to take local action on global issues.

• Collaborated with the Executive Committee to manage the strategic direction and the operations of the Chapter.• Lobbied state legislative, executive and administrative branches on air, water, energy and land use issues. • Supervised and managed staff. Recruited and managed volunteers and interns.• Raised over $100,000 from foundation, corporate and individual donors in FY08, exceeding fundraising goals.• Represented the Sierra Club in various coalitions and alliances, including co-chairing the Ohio Blue Green Alliance.

• Managed, trained and recruited a staff of 60 for a summer door-to-door canvass. Fundraising goal of $375,000 achieved.• Activated a coalition of over 30 environmental, religious and sportsmen groups. Coordinated a three week slide show tour, reaching 400 people. Generated 23 media hits, two editorial board meetings and over 200 hand-written letters of support.• Launched the Building Environmental Communities Campaign, recruited and trained 20 citizens to lead door to door canvasses, host community meetings and manage phone banks and organized a rally and canvass for over 120 volunteers.
