I am currently working for Professor Lucy Walker on a research project aiming to characterise the events that induce anti-pancreas immunity in Type 1 Diabetes.• Gained authorship on three peer-reviewed articles published in medical journals• Presented my work verbally by giving oral and poster presentations on five occasions at seminars and conferences• Handled workload across multiple projects through completion of my own work while managing and directly training junior members of my team • Communicated science to a wide variety of audiences – Diabetes UK lab tour event (November 2018) and Infection and Defense Immunology Tutorial (November 2017 and November 2018)• Worked effectively in a team by giving advice and constructive feedback at team meetings. Worked in Doctor Benoit Pasquier's team at Sanofi to successfully put into place an assay to screen novel drugs for the ability to enhance anti-cancer immunity.• Generated, organised and analysed large amounts of data through screening of more than one hundred drugs• Adapted to working in industry settings and developed knowledge of drug development• Selected to give an oral presentation at the France R&D Science Days for Sanofi (Paris, March 2016), as a result of my research producing potential hit compounds for the treatment of cancer• Built relationships with individuals from various departments – navigated working in a large pharmaceutical company with several different teams and managers, in order to complete work across a large and collaborative research project • Liaised and collaborated with an academic team at the Institut Curie in Paris
