About Ellen Marshall
Statistician with years of experience providing quantitative research advice and statistics teaching. My main area of work from 2011 has been providing a wide range of students/staff with support undertaking research or understanding course material but I also worked as a lecturer teaching statistics on the BSc Mathematics course. I specialise in applied statistics and have transformed the statistics modules to prepare students for work as data analysts including running projects with companies to give them vital work experience and provide companies with useful insights within their data. My research is predominantly educational including my current Phd on 'Strategies to reduce statistics anxiety' but I have experience of working with researchers in health and Psychology. I can use a variety of types of software with SPSS, Jamovi and SAS being my most used and taught. I am open to part time work as a data analyst or statistician in industry as well as teaching roles.
