I specialize in treating conditions related to pelvic health as well as gastrointestinal health. In this setting, my work is focused on optimizing wellness and improving the experience of pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum periods. I also continue to treat pelvic floor dysfunction as a result of chronic conditions including but not limited to endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, IBS, SIBO, and pelvic pain related to dyspareunia, vaginismus, and vulvodynia.

I also enjoy working with women as the body goes through changes with pregnancy and delivery.

Treated conditions related to pelvic health diagnoses in females and males such as urinary/fecal incontinence, abdominal wall pain, pelvic pain, pelvic floor tension myalgia, coccydynia, dyspareunia, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, diastasis rectus, pregnancy related pain, and post-partum care.

In this setting I served a variety of patients with acute care needs including post-surgical care (orthopedics, urology, gynecology, colorectal, plastics), oncologic care, bone marrow transplant, organ transplant, and critical care needs for all populations (general surgery, orthopedics, medical, OB, plastics, hematology, oncology, and transplant).

In an outpatient setting, I had the opportunity to integrate into the women's health/pelvic floor practice for 4 weeks. I treated conditions such as urinary/fecal incontinence (stress, urge, mixed, retention), abdominal wall pain, pelvic pain, non-relaxing pelvic floor/pelvic floor tension myalgia, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, as well as pre, peri, and post pregnancy care. I practiced in general orthopedics for 8 weeks. I treated a wide variety of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions including patients with low back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, knee pain, ankle/foot pain and some patients with fibromyalgia, abnormal gait, Parkinson's, ALS, and functional movement disorders.

In the long term acute care setting I helped patients meet their functional mobility goals in order to help them become appropriate for discharge to a skilled nursing facility, inpatient rehab, or a transitional care unit. Patients had a variety of diagnosis such as acute or chronic respiratory failure, squamous cell carcinoma of the jaw/neck, osteomyelitis, non-healing wounds, traumatic brain injuries, anoxic brain injuries, as well as strokes that preceded their mobility deficits. I became very familiar with ventilator and O2 equipment as well as other medical equipment such as IVs, catheters, and wound vacs.

In the outpatient orthopedic setting I gained experience in treating muskuloskeletal conditions and dysfunctions. The primary patient population I worked with consisted of chronic neck and low back pain. I also treated conditions such as temporomandibular joint dysfunction, Achilles tendonopathy, patellarfemoral pain/knee pain, generalized hip and gluteal pain, as well as shoulder pain/scapular dyskinesis. I was able to advance my manual therapy skills at this clinical rotation.
