I am currently working on an 18-month grant project to create a solution to disseminate pecan data for growers and breeders.

My first year with the TAMU Division of Information Technology, I worked with the Solutions and Support team on a large project to implement Quest One Identity Manager for Texas A&M University. The position also involved work with SQL Server/T-SQL as well as Oracle. In May of 2018, I was offered the opportunity to transfer to the IT Security, Risk Management, Policy & Compliance team within the Division of IT. As a Security Analyst with the Cyber Defense team, my main responsibility was management of the Proofpoint email relay and filter system. I also handled TLS certificate approvals and assisted with firewall port changes, campus email delivery issues, general Cyber Defense Help Desk tickets, documentation, and procedures.

Development of ASP.NET web applications, desktop applications and relational databases using C#, VB.Net, SQL, CSS, and Javascript. Created reporting solutions using a variety of tools, including SSRS. Built ad-hoc queries, stored procedures, and functions in SQL Server Management Studio for VetMed and graduate student applications. Performed setup, configuration, maintenance and administration of server and client systems.

As part of the Project Management team in the new Provost Information Technology Office, I coordinated various IT projects, such as website redesign projects, departmental computer systems migrations, and application development projects. I created project documentation, website mock-ups to assist in the design phase of projects, and training materials to accelerate the transition to new applications.

Served as the primary IT technician for Honors and Professional School Advising. I upgraded their systems to a more secure, redundant environment. I maintained all servers and staff computers, performed regular backups, and developed front end MS Access interfaces for SQL Server databases using Visual Basic forms, reports, and SQL queries. I was also responsible for Novell Netware/eDirectory, Novell Zenworks, and IIS Web Server.
