During my time with Heron & Brearley I worked as the Assistant Manager in a popular hotel which saw large scale business due to the islands famous TT races and other popular motorbike events throughout the year. It had just seen a million pound refurbishment when I took over as AM. The quaint restaurant was accompanied by 11 luxury rooms and a function room which I often lead large scale events such as weddings, wakes and parties. I was in charge of recruitment, stock management, rotas, cellar management and bookings to name a few. The business turned over £90,000 p/w during its peak of trade during the summer months so I am very much used to working in a fast paced constant environment.

During my time at university I wanted a part time job to make some extra money in between studying. A newly opened trampoline park (ENERGI) opened up down the road so I found employment there. At Energi I was employed as a safety marshal which meant I was on the court ensuring safety measures were being adhered to by guests and I was there to provide basic first aid if and where appropriate. Here I really learned to deal with all ages, previous jobs I had only dealt with serving adults in retail and pubs but at Energi I was communicating with guests of all ages, starting from as young a 6 months. I learnt excellent communication as that was a vital part of the job. I also enhanced my social skills and awareness skills.
